Lieber Atlan
Thank you for reaching out via our website. We appreciate your support and interest of Exro and would be happy to answer your questions.
- what is exactly the technological innovation you use to improve the efficiency of motors and generators over a spectrum of speed?
We have advanced coil switching algorithms that power the electric motor in the power train. These are built into an inverter and allow the system to have overall efficiency gain from greater performance; speed, torque, weight reduction. Very generally speaking, you can go further on same battery charge.
- is the core technological innovation protected well? can you expect someone else to achieve the same with similar, but not protected technology?
Exro holds 15 international granted patents and 8 pending patents. We have done our best to ensure our IP is protected. The technology is scaleable, but not plug and play so the level of customization is important. We are first to market and protected by patents –the core of our technology is coil switching which is physics of motors and we did not invent that. What we have done is taken this and made it intelligent-our switching is done on the fly and dynamical in the machine (bike, car, truck, etc)
- can you provide us measurements of independent institutions, showing the same result?
We do not have that information available at this time—as we have only recently entered commercialization most of our technology has been kept internal. I can possibly provide you some testing and graphs that we use in our technical presentations. We have a few available to open market although most are under NDA only. We are just completing our first white paper “the Coil Switching inverter” which was due to be presented at CTI show which was postponed to October. We will release to our website in coming weeks.
- can you provide us a business plan? we would be interested to have an idea of how much can be earned for example per motor of an ebike, what your projections for the future are, what the capital needs of the company are.
We would be happy to provide that. We are currently making some revisions so could I supply this in next 2 weeks. From a general perspective our plan is to continue our commercialization-
2020 we are focused on smaller company partnerships and scale ups so we can implement our technology into various mobility applications proving our technology is viable and helping to solve industry issues. Our commitment was 8 deals by end of 2020 and we have closed 5 and are working on the final 3. We have delivered a proof of concept in an electric bike, and will deliver the Potencia Mexico project in June which will place it in a delivery van- the first four wheel road application. With continued development partnerships our revenue will be small
2021 we see continued partnerships with larger more transformational partners that allow us to increase revenue and by late 2022 we feel we will be able to be close to cash flow positive with a strong revenue pipeline.
