Lausanne (awp) - Compagnie Financière Tradition will sich nicht von einem Brexit-Szenario überraschen lassen, das für den Finanzplatz London ungünstig sein könnte. Wenn nötig, könnte die Lausanner Maklerfirma problemlos etwa 100 Mitarbeiter, die derzeit in der Stadt stationiert sind, transferieren, sagte Präsident Patrick Combes am Donnerstag zu AWP.
"Im Falle eines 'hard Brexit' wird es wahrscheinlich notwendig werden, sich in Kontinentaleuropa zu verstärken", erklärte Combes weiter. "Wir planen einen Pool von rund 100 komplementären Positionen in Kontinentaleuropa, falls wir eine bestimmte Anzahl von Teams unter Zeitdruck verlagern müssen." Die CFT-Gruppe beschäftigt insgesamt knapp 2300 Mitarbeiter. Am Ende glaube er aber nicht an ein Ausstiegsszenario von Grossbritannien ohne ein Abkommen mit der Europäischen Union, so Combes.
Dividende gehalten oder sogar höher
Der Lausanner Broker hatte am Morgen seine Halbjahreszahlen publiziert, die von lebhaften Märkten profitiert hatten. "Wir sind besser gewachsen als unsere beiden Hauptkonkurrenten", hielt Combes dazu fest.
Besonders stark war das Wachstum bei Gaitame.com, dem japanischen Einzelhandelsmakler. Die durch die Finanzkrise der Türkei hervorgerufene Volatilität habe an einigen Tagen zu neuen Aktivitäten geführt, erklärte Finanzchef François Brisebois den Erfolg.
Den Aktionären stellen die beiden CFT-Manager eine Dividende in Aussicht, die mindestens auf Vorjahreshöhe liegen wird. "Angesichts der Entwicklung im ersten Halbjahr wird es einen Kompromiss zwischen Bewahrung und einer leichten Erhöhung geben", präzisierte Combes. Für 2017 hatte die CFT die Vergütung um 50 Rappen auf 5 Franken je Aktie erhöht.
Darüber hinaus werde die CFT wahrscheinlich, wie bereits nach Jahresabschluss 2016, einen Teil ihrer eigenen Aktien hergeben. "Zum Beispiel könnten wir die Hälfte unserer eigenen Aktien ausschütten", sagt Combes. CFT hält heute 418'000 eigene Aktien, was 5,8 Prozent des Grundkapitals entspricht.
